EMERi Code of Conduct
Last updated: 22 August 2025
This Code of Conduct (“Code”) applies to all participants in EMERi activities — including members, guests, event attendees, and community contributors.
1. Our Commitment
-
We foster a high-trust environment, meaning participants must be able to share openly, knowing their contributions will be respected, treated with confidentiality, and not exploited for personal or commercial gain.
-
Example: members may share sensitive challenges, boardroom experiences, or commercial insights. These must not be repeated outside EMERi spaces without explicit permission.
2. Expectations
-
Respect and Inclusion: Treat all participants with courtesy. Discrimination, harassment, or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated.
-
Confidentiality: What happens in EMERi stays in EMERi. Any personal or business information shared in EMERi spaces (events, groups, calls, or platforms) is confidential and may not be disclosed without explicit permission.
-
Constructive Participation: Engage thoughtfully and authentically, both in person and online.
-
Digital Conduct: In online platforms (e.g. forums, Slack, Zoom, email groups), use professional, respectful communication at all times. No spam, unauthorised promotions, or hostile behaviour.
-
Safety: Be mindful of your surroundings and conduct yourself responsibly at all in-person events.
3. Soliciting & Promotion
-
No unsolicited pitching, recruiting, or promotion is permitted.
-
After 3 months, collaboration or promotion requires written approval from EMERi.
4. Compliance
-
All contributions must comply with applicable law.
-
Content or behaviour that causes harm, infringes rights, or breaches confidentiality is prohibited.
5. Consequences
-
Breaches of this Code may result in removal from events, suspension of membership, or termination without refund.
-
Serious breaches (e.g. harassment, theft of materials, data misuse) may result in permanent removal and legal action.
6. Reporting & Resolution
-
Reports of unacceptable behaviour can be made confidentially to info@emeri.co.uk.
-
EMERi will acknowledge reports within 5 business days and aim to resolve issues within 30 days.
